RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West done with the traditional Dometic 3 way.

It turned on the computer fan on the outside vent. It will automatically turn on when the temperature gets high enough to warrant more airflow.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper bed platform for Ford SuperCab

I finished my platform, 2x4’s over 2x6’s. Total 7” high and gives me about 3” of cab clearance. It was high enough I added a set of drawers. The 2x6’s lock into the groves in the bed so it doesn’t shift around on bumpy roads.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Concern with the Bathroom/Toilet

It doesn’t have to swivel out to use but you would be sitting on it sideways if you didn’t swivel it out.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West How do you all organize your storage?

I added a folding shelf over the toilet in the closet. Really adds a lot of space. I also put a slide out under the sink, makes accessing all the plots and pans really easy. Other than that I use a lot of small storage bins for smaller items. For cans you can get small can dispensers from The...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camper bed platform for Ford SuperCab

I just bought a new truck 2020 F250 Superduty. My Alaskan 95’ CO is too short so I will need to put in a platform so it doesn’t hit the cab. My question is how high is too high for the camper to sit and it gets unstable? At a minimum I will need to raise the camper at least 6” off the bed to...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Electric hydraulic pump failure with top up while camping - what to do?

Hi, I purchased a 95’ 8’ CO last winter and have been reconditioning it all winter. It’s now ready to go and I am putting it on the truck tomorrow. I like to be prepared when I am on a long trip and something has been bothering me. If I am camped somewhere and I get ready to leave and the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Travel Lock Upgrade - Pictures Please

Hi, my 95’ Cabover has hasp latches installed (one on each side) for the top travel lock. I have seen a few posts on the travel lock topic however no one posts pictures of what they have done and most of the descriptions (other than throw a strap over the top) are very challenging to decipher. I...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Switches in 95’ 8’ CO

Thanks all, I did find a hidden computer fan attached to the switch. I think Jim in Idaho is right with the limit switch controlling the fan. I will need to fire everything up and see if I can get it to turn on.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Switches in 95’ 8’ CO

I have recently purchased a 95’ 8’ CO and am in process or cleaning and replacing seals. There is a switch next to the thermostat that I have no idea what it is for. The previous owner said it runs a fan for the refrigerator when the top is down but the switch doesn’t seem to work. Any thoughts...
