RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Indoor Shower Project

Hey guys - so I decided to mimic Bombsight's awesome indoor shower build. Thanks for the parts list and the great idea Bombsight! I made a few minor revisions, based on trial and error while putting it together. Very happy with the end result. The fan really does a good job of getting the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Can't pump all water out of tank?

A couple years ago, I simply drained the system as best as I could without using antifreeze. When I went to use the camper in the spring my pump didn't work anymore (would run but never pump water). I presumed that it had been damaged by water freezing within it. Easy to replace, but it made...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Sink Faucet Extender In A Hawk?

Phil - I had the same issue. I ended up simply replacing the faucet with a drop in chrome one. No mods needed. The replacement one I used also has a threaded spout to allow for hose connection. Happy with the end result.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West High Altitude Condensation with CPAP Machine

I would think that condensation is more a reflection of temperature than altitude change. Maybe try insulating the tubing or running it under the covers? Or keep the temp up in the camper a little higher?

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Winter Camping Advice

Agree with cdbrow1 on the generator. Loss of hours of daylight, sun angle and solar panel obstruction from snow will all have an effect. Personally I am paranoid of being burned alive by an electric blanket lol. Good point on the dehumidifier after the trip. I generally just crack one of the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Replacing wiring from truck to camper

Tracing back from the camper battery - it goes breaker then Surefire. The solar solar system looks like it is on its own wiring, with a 30 amp manual reset fuse between the charge controller and the battery terminal. Jason

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Replacing wiring from truck to camper

Hey guys - another quick question. When I upgraded the wires from my truck to camper to 4 gauge, I left the original FWC 30 amp breakers in place. I also have a Trimetric solar charger and monitor system installed. The trimetric system is wired with a 30 amp manual reset circuit breaker in...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Canoe or kayak on FWC

Hey Bill - I have been using an old British military Sankey for the past year. However, I just bit the bullet and ordered up an Adventure Trailer (minus most of the camping gear and tent). That way I can lock up some of the gear and use the cross bars for the yaks, bikes etc. Jason
