Water Tank I built a sloped floor under the water tank to help with draining of the tank. Also the tank is NOT tight up against the front wall. It is set away from the front wall so as the water tank fills and expands, there is no pressure exerted to the wall. Water drains out the sidewall of...

Bill, you can never take enough pictures, and I am sure I didn't. Internet shopping wasn't fun for me until I ordered the camper. Now it's my new drug. Jay, you just gave away to the world my under cover name. Got any ideas for a new one?

Water Fill Door I had to pull back the paneling on the drivers side and front wall to examine in wall wiring layout, and to decide where to install the water fill door. At this time I added wiring for a future front spotlight and a future rear spotlight.

Starting The Build I waited six weeks from order to delivery, and during that time followed many WTW build threads and spent serious time internet shopping. Seems the longer I waited for delivery the more I bought and my original modest shell upgrade turned to an almost full build. This is my...

Home After the trip home from taking delivery, it was time to take the camper off the truck and get ready to work. I had the camper bottom well supported and perfectly level before starting. Truck and camper just fit under the carport roof!

The camper is a 2014 ATC Ocelot shell model that I built out more than I thought I would. Similar size to a FWC Hawk. The slide is Ho made out of scraps of plywood and oak, drawer slides and barrel bolt from a big box store. I have enough room to slide my Colman stove next to the frig.

Hi Jim. Here are some photos of the frig area. As for linking to shell posts, absolutely. I assumed this forum was all about sharing/stealing ideas.

I thought about posting a build thread but then I got busy testing the camper out. I don't know if I took enough pictures to hold interest. I know I must of stolen at least one idea from your build thread Bill, so thank you!

Thanks Lighthawk. The wall storage was an afterthought so it doesn't quite blend in with the corner shelf that holds electrical. I have a 12v receptical, and two switches. One switch controls the rear and side porch lights and the other switch will control a future spot light.

Hi all. I am getting closer to finishing my shell buildout and was wondering if anybody else has tried vertical silverware storage on the stove wall of their camper? I tested this system out on a ten day trip to southern Utah are all went well with it.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Opinions for an Ocelot Shell Build

I took delivery of my Ocelot shell model 10 days ago and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend adding 2" to the liner height for more headroom over the bed. Also the electric wiring in the shell model is very basic so think really hard about adding any exterior lights and interior switches!

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Rubber Truck Bed Mat?

Looks like I will dig an old truck mat out of storage. It's been years since I backed a truck under a camper. Did anybody else have a hard time waiting for delivery of their camper? Thanks for all the replies!

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Rubber Truck Bed Mat?

Thanks for the replies! Seems like I can go either way with the bed mat. I was "thinking" that a mat would help the camper from not shifting on those washboards or rough roads. I am not too worried about moisture under the camper since it doesn't seem to rain in the southwest anymore. Any other...
