Nice work! I have the same setup with the exception of the 2x's on top. I used 1/2 " OSB plywood. Got the casters at home depot. Works like a champ.:) Well done!

Why are unwilling to separate the truck from the camper? Did you have your setup in rvtrader for a while? I believe I tried to buy your camper a year ago.

I recently paid around $95 for a 4" foam pad 25" x 75". Not cheap but worth every penny for a good nights rest........

Looks like a nice camper and at a great price! I paid $5500 for my used 2000 Hawk last summer. It was in nice shape but needed quite a bit of cleaning and a set of jacks. Enjoy the forum, lots of great tip in here!:)

I'm no expert by any stretch, but I would incorporate two oversize pieces of cut steel (3/16"-1/4" thick) on either side of the existing hole with a piece of 3/4" wood cut to fit inside the hole. I would bolt the sandwich together and then replace the eye bolt where it needs to be. Probably...

Thanks for the feedback. I believe I'll purchase a spare battery with parallel cables. I will use my BBQ propane tank as a backup with appropriate hoses. Lastly, I will have to think about the generator. Honda is proud of their generators....($$$). Thanks again...

I went camping in Eastern Oregon last weekend. Temperatures hit just below freezing with a trace of snow on the ground Saturday morning. I set the thermostat to the lowest setting so that I would not cook over night. I was as snug as a bug in a rug without the arctic insulation package!
