RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West central coast / big sur suggestions for this weekend

It was a great trip. after visiting friends in SLO we stayed mostly in the beaches and hills north of cambria. We tend to gravitate towards national forest areas as opposed to state parks because we always have dogs with us, and we like to camp for free! There were nice informal hiking...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West central coast / big sur suggestions for this weekend

Thanks for the ideas! Recreation on the California coast with the pups can be a challenge, so I really appreciate the dog-friendly suggestions. Anyone familiar with nice hikes in the ventana wilderness area? Boondocking areas up in those roads?

Hello all, I know there are many suspension threads out there; sorry if these questions have already been answered. My truck is a '99 tacoma regular cab. It's my daily driver on windy but paved mountain roads. It sees lots of forest service roads in the summer, but no Rubicon trail type stuff...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Small camper advice/leads

Thanks for the input. Gandhii, so your older fleet fits ok? I thought they were bigger back then. Were they all aluminum then too, or does it have some plywood? Skeeter, you're talking about the arctic pack insulation for cold weather? Is that something they do aftermarket, or does it have...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Small camper advice/leads

Hello all, I have been on a search for an aluminum framed camper for a '98 4cyl regular cab tacoma. This forum seems to have many dedicated members, so I thought I would put the word out here. Besides something light weight and durable, cold weather performance is most important. I do need...
