RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Going Greener (It's not easy being green!)

We're about 80 Km (50 Miles?) north of the US border in the Okanagan Valley in BC. It's a ways from Spokane actually. Oh, I assume you have been to Mt. Revelstoke National Park? VERY COOL! Mike

Mmmmmm.... Lake Koocanusa - Yup, very cool. Know where the only bridge is over Lake Koocanusa (South of Rexford) from Highway 37 going over to West Kootani and The Yaak? In early 2009, I will be moving from Michigan to about 7 miles straight east from the bridge. :D :) Mike

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West air conditioner?

They claim it draws less than half an amp and its almost free. I am going to guess it uses a "PC" fan... very low current draw. For example... Cooler Master 80mm Case Fan 0.15 A. Mike

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric vs manual water pump

Ben, do you have a picture of a current model Cougar that shows what stuff is mounted where on that panel (especially in relation to the sink)? Crap, I checked the ATC web site but did not see that pix, but now I see it! Thanks, Mike :o

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric vs manual water pump

The switch is part of the monitor panel on the front of the cabinet. One switch is for the pump and the other switch on the panel tells you the water level of the tank and the battery charge level. Ben, do you have a picture of a current model Cougar that shows what stuff is mounted where on...

Half the money??? Most married couples that I know, if the husband tried to sign his paycheck the bank would call it a forgery. What is your secret if you get to keep half, I think most on the thread would like to know?? My wife is 10.5 years younger than me (I am 59) and I retired in Dec...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric vs manual water pump

I am quite happy with the options I chose, however ... I would go with the electric pump option. Not that the pump doesn't work very well but for the few xtra $$$ it is nice to have it both ways. Hope this does not sound too stupid... it never occured to me I can use either... I was thinking...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone put staples into the frame?

The older campers were known for this. To prevent it we started using an 1/8" foam tape along the aluminum under the headliner. This made a type of barrier to help prevent that problem and it seems to work well. Very good to know! :D :) Ben is standing by to fix that problem for all you old...

Most opinions on the thread are from the male half of the duo and you can throw those out the window when the better half starts using the sink.:D Do you know why women are so powerful? They have half the money, and ALL the "better half". ;) Mike

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electric vs manual water pump

I see that electric vs a manual water pump has very strong opinions! Since we will be getting an ATC (no shower option) we will be going with an Outback Porta-Privy and heat water via solar plastic bag, the stove, or a Zodi heater. I especially like what Pete said...It keeps you from wasting...
