RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West METAL DETECTING Anyone?

OK, that was good teaser... Which one did you get at Costco? Never have done it, but, it does seem interesting.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Elbow adaptor for filling propane tank?

I have a horizontal tank (most likely a newer version, ATC Bobcat) and I remove the tank from the compartment to fill it. Easy to do, takes a minute or so. I also remove the hose and make sure the tank valve is OFF when driving. Not sure if that is necessary, but, I like to do it that way.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Where to store extra pull-out mattress (Ranger 2)?

I believe that the original design is: After the front is lowered, pull the slide out part toward the rear and put the mattress on the pulled out part (just like you would do if you were going to sleep on it), then lower the rear, tucking in the corners from inside. For the reverse, when you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West HELP getting in and out of bed

It could have been someone else, however, I posted mine in my build thread, first interior. Made of oak, dado or rabbit for the steps into the vertical parts, very strong as far as holding a person's weight. Possible to go up or down facing either way, in or out. Hand hold was the edge of the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West working on making Tee Shirts

The easiest, no investment of cash, process IMHO is a place called CafePress. All you have to do is open a CafePress store, create the design in a JPEG format, submit the design, select what items you want the design printed on (T-Shirt, Ball Hat, Mouse pad, Coffee cup, etc., lots of different...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winging it in the West

I believe this is a web link to a video about the DoubleEnder. If you read the paragraph under the video there is an article from Backcountry Pilot that answers questions about that aircraft.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tool Kit Ideas

Good advice in the above messages. For me the complexity of fixing major truck issues when away from my garage and when I don't carry the needed parts with me (who would carry some of these obscure parts) has produced the following. If your insurance company offers a road side service...

Well, rats. I've got my original 30 pounders, however, they are 36" long, not 40" long. If you can figure out a way to make them work for you, make me an offer.

In case you've never sewed upholstery fabric, my foam guy gave me these tips: Make the size of the sewed fabric 1" smaller than the dimension of the foam all the way around to insure a nice tight fabric cover. It was fun stuffing the foam inside, but the fabric is still nice and tight after...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West US parks map

You can do something like this... ... at Visited States Map I'd recommend that you do the SAVE to your hard drive, then edit the size of the image to be a lot smaller (than what I'm showing above), upload it to your WTW gallery or other photo web hosting location and then add it to your...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West corner bed loops for turnbuckle tie downs? silverado

I took the thin sheet metal truck bed out of the equation. Eye bolt above the truck bed goes directly to the truck frame with the bracket I made. Simple job for a welder or someone with welding skills and equipment.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I need to hear a good new joke

A wife arrived home after a long shopping trip, and was horrified to find her husband in bed with a young, lovely thing. Just as she was about to storm out of the house, her husband stopped her with these words: Before you leave, I want you to hear how this all came about. Driving home...

I'm glad to correct you in that those are NOT Honda Mopeds. They are Honda Trail bikes, also known as Honda Trail 90's or Honda CT90's, also Honda Trail 110's or Honda CT110's. Specifically the ones in those photos are from the early half of the 1960's and could include, Honda Trail 50's...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wind noise from a FWC

Yeah, get some attachment points into some metal. You may want to figure out something to put on the bottom of the wind fairing to cushion the top of the cab of the truck, in case the downward forces decide to bend the wind fairing downward. Maybe a piece of thin wall, hot water pipe...
