RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Older Grandby “flip down” to “slide out” bed conversion

I know there are a lot of guys that buy used pop-top campers and never get the factory description of how to do it. I've met several of them on the trail and showed them the process and they were just as amazed they didn't think of it either. I know that Marty at All Terrain Campers showed me...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Older Grandby “flip down” to “slide out” bed conversion

To lift up the roof at the FRONT... the movable cushions need to be pulled and put on edge on the floor, I do them on the driver's side next to the counter. That is easy to do if the rear of the roof is already UP. Then slide the bed support portion IN, and access is now easy to get to the front...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Older Grandby “flip down” to “slide out” bed conversion

I have an All Terrain Camper, Bobcat, that has a 4" thick foam for the mattress. Very comfortable. When the roof is DOWN, the bed is pulled out and the mattresses are NOT stacked one on top of the other, they are just in place as if I was sleeping on them. Roof fits fine. When the roof is UP...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Zipper wax/lubricant

I use Zipper Ease on all my marine applications (boat cockpit sun cover, sail covers & bags, and even wet suit zippers). Works well on both metal and plastic zippers. I suppose I should put some on my 8 year old ATC Bobcat zippers.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Vair 70P, Ford Ranger Extended Side Mirrors & Bar Sink

SOLD I have a Vair 70P that has been lightly used. New, this often sells in the $45 range. I'd like to get $20 plus the cost of actual USPS Shipping. I replaced the accessory plug with alligator clips on the power cord. I wanted to connect the Vair directly to a battery and not go through the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wind turbine

Back in 2010 I briefly considered doing this. My idea was to have alternate electrical power sources, i.e., solar AND wind. At the time all the small wind turbines had a built in battery charge controller that would not work well with other electrical battery charging sources, such as solar...
