RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Should FWC campers be marketed towards Tacomas?

Same here. I have a 2018 Fleet on a 2020 Tacoma long bed. Only improvements are air bags and E rated tires. 150,000 miles on the setup so far and no issue or worries!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Change interior color of pop-up fabric

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solvent for Polybutyl tape residue ?

Colman fuel is just unleaded gas. I remember a trip when I was almost out of gas and added my Colman fuel to the truck and made it to my destination!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solvent for Polybutyl tape residue ?

NAPTHA is the best solvent for this. Unfortunately it has been banned by California (Colorado)! I buy it when I travel out of state! If you old guys remember lighter fluid, that was Naptha.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane door misaligned

The fix suggestions look correct, but wondering about the cause? I wonder if the propane were tied down properly? Could they have bounced around and did that damage?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New batwing awning

I orginally bought the Mule brackets which were very nicely made but did not hold up the extra weight of my Batwing. So I welded up some steel jack bracket holders. They are bombproof although a little heavy (16lbs each). I probably will just end up bolting right to the camper at some point...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Heavy Wind Pop-UP Truck Camper

We had 60+ mile a hour winds with our Fleet. I had the front corner pointed into the wind and that helped, but was still worried! I popped the front side down, so the wind flowed over the roof and that worked great. My wife slept east-west in the bed (she is smalller) and I slept on the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West *SOLD* Mule ARB brackets for Four Wheel Camper

I bought these brackets to try and use with a big Bat Wing awning but it was too heavy for the tilt mechanism. They are nicely designed and should work great for an ARB awning.. Here is the link to Mule: https://dasmule.com/products/mule-four-wheel-camper-arb-awning-brackets-pre_order $150...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winter liner install

I leave my liner up all year. Makes the camper a lot cooler in the summer! And it gives me a place to tuck the window flaps.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Digital GPS Guide for Camping in Canada on Trip to/From Alaska

One important note. A WiFi IPad uses cell towers for its GPS! So make sure you get a 4G IPad because that has a true GPS chip. You don’t need a data plan just the correct IPad. Learned that lesson on my last big trip when I lost my location in the middle of nowhere!!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension for 2017 Tacoma and FWC Fleet Shell

I have a 2010 Tacoma DCLB with a Fleet shell and Firestone Airbags. Stock suspension and the truck handles the weight no problem. I can cruse 90 on the highway with no handling issues. My only other upgrade would be to the stock shocks, BUT I would not want to make my lift any higher, as I...

Definitely getting excited to start the ski season! Not much snow yet in the Aspen area yet, hopefully it will start dumping in December. Picked up my 2016 Fleet shell this spring which we built out this summer. Planning on multiple back country ski trips with the Fleet as the base camp. I...
