RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Portable Solar Panel Addition

Yes...Thanks...I agree. Try and find a system to elevate the panel a tad. Renogy has one ...4 pieces... though its for their hard ones. Will have to check and see if the flex would work with it. https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-RNG-MTS-CB-Drill-Free-Corner-Bracket/dp/B01LWASUU1

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Portable Solar Panel Addition

Thanks Sagebrush.....for now all it is really used for is the cooling fan for the 3 way fridge along with a 12 volt 4 year old FLA deep cycle. I am still thinking of going 160 Watts but can't find one from Renogy as a kit yet. Will keep looking.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Am I out of luck with 1,200 lbs of payload?

Kind of a late answer on this post but I have a 2007 Tundra ( 1/2 ton ) and in January of 2018 installed a used 1998 Sunlite 8 foot long on the 6 1/2 bed. With the weight of it sitting at 1300 lbs all I did was added a leaf spring kit and when my present Michelins die will go to an e rated...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Battery relocation good idea or bad?

Hi there Vic, Slight change of topic here. I have had my used camper for a year now and occasionally ran my single 12 volt wet deep cycle battery kind of low and used the truck engine to charge it back up. Other than that very happy with it. Ted, I have been there many times, and lived in Comox for a few. Visit Long Beach if you can but reserve early and be aware that the weather can be hit and miss in that area. All the ideas in answer to your post are good and remember Gas is more expensive, though California prices are dear. Also...
