RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Backup rear cam for Tundra

Vic, I thought of that, but did not want the hassle, so it cost me $129 USD for the ease of use, I am careful to pick my battles carefully (LOL)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ladder or step?

I did all what is explained, no photos show up at all in my posts, I have had this issue for a year or more now, I try to attach photos but for some reason they never actually "attach". it is extremely rusterating, Facebook is a no brainer, so easy

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ladder or step?

I am trying to post photos but it does not work, why is this site so difficult to navigate, I was in the computer business for 20 years, for the life of me I can not figure out how to post photos, I attach them but they don't end up in my post.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ladder or step?

Ladder weighs 30 LBS, steel step with extension weighs at least 70LBS, step is better in all ways except 3, it stays on the ground and gets dirty, it can also damage the inside of the camper when in storage during travelling, and it has to be moved inside and outside all the time (PAIN IN THE...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

I bought my new Grandby from Rocky Mountain FWC, picking it up in mid November, almost a fully loaded unit, many have a Grandby on a Tundra DC, some with the tailgate down and some with the tailgate removed, I am going with the tailgate on and down for support. I removed the rear seats in my...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Backup rear cam for Tundra

Not $199, it is $219 at Camerasource, and $89 difference is ridiculous when you consider these cameras are $5.00 all over Amazon, and the wiring harness could not be worth more than $5.00 as well, they are making a huge profit for the piece of plastic that fits into the OEM plug, for me it is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West spare key

I carry one set, the wife the second, and a third set is well hidden in a sealed container (even I have a hard time finding it), it was worth the $120 (total) I spent on a Tundra key fob and a new key blank from Amazon ($30), plus $90 to programme it in Phoenix last winter

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Timing Belt Failures On Tundras?

I agree 100% with the post above, it is most likely good for 200,000 miles, but I would be more worried about 13 years and deterioration

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Timing Belt Failures On Tundras?

Definitely change the belt no matter the milage, these belts can deteriorate, I would never take the chance, because like you said, if the belt breaks your engine is finished (potentially), sure glad the new Tundra's have a chain, my old 4Runner had a belt (4.7 V-8), and when I did change the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Backup rear cam for Tundra

I bought this for my Tundra, camerasource was ridiculous at $219, tailgatecamera.com is $129 and has a bracket that can be slightly modified to mount mid way up the back of a FWC, and save $90...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra rear seat removal

Exactly my thoughts, thanks, back seats removed yesterday, huge cavernous space now, only item in the way is the holder for the bottle jack, no big deal. That seat is tricky to remove by yourself though, I scratched the door frame of the truck a bit (not bad), next time the DW will assist!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lithium Battery advise

http://e-onbatteries.com/12v-200ah-bluetooth-enabled-lifepo4-smart-battery.html 200 AH, built in BMS, drop in swap from dual 6V GC2, just disconnect the 110V shore power converter, use solar controller compatible with LiFePo4 lithium batteries, says up to 14.6V charging, so I should be OK with...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Isotherm fridge

Solar controllers are not that expensive, I may swap to the blue Victron with bluetooth for full monitoring, thanks for the advise

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lithium Battery advise

Solar controller has to be swapped out, 110V converter charging system has to be disconnected or swapped out, I have a brand new FWC, I am not doing that, so I am going with 2 AGM 6V batteries, they are already installed in the camper, and are proven, and the system is setup for them
  19. O

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Deka AGM batteries

I hear you on NOT spending any more money, I am going with the AGM 6V golf cart batteries from FWC, lithium is just way to complicated, way to many things to change, and my camper is brand new, ridiculous, and expensive, and no guarantee I will not have even more issues (unproven system)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Isotherm fridge

The new solar controllers are Victron FWC told me, I will have about 220 AH of battery (120 usable), and 160 Watts of solar, last year on our Hawk we had 100 watts of solar and only 160 AH of battery and a very power hungry Dometic compressor fridge, I am told the Isotherm uses 1/3 of the power...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Isotherm fridge

Anybody have experience with Isotherm 130 Liter fridge that comes with the new FWC??? I previously had a Dometic compressor 85 liter fridge, it was very power hungry, I am told the Isotherm uses about 1/3 of the power that the Dometic used, this is very good news, with 160 watts of solar, and a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

Phil, appreciate the feedback, I have gotten opposite feedback from others, that have a Grandby in their 6.6 bed Tundra and have no issues, some leave the tailgate down, and it works fine, others remove the tailgate and have no issues, FWC and the dealer I purchased from say to leave the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

Yes good point, I did try it out and could not get the rod in towards the tire to let it down, so i made the hole bigger, and it now works with the tailgate down, thanks for suggesting it may be a problem, because it sure was, all fixed now!!!
