RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tacoma Flatbed Measurements

Good point Dean, I reached out to a few different companies and they all seem to use different frame rails. I'll likely get another truck that can fully support the weight of the camper and all my gear. Hope you guys are enjoying Alaska!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tacoma Flatbed Measurements

Can anyone help me out with the below question. I've tried searching with no luck. Looking for height and length measurements for specifically a 3rd gen Tacoma with flatbed camper. I understand that measurements will differ because of tire size and suspension lift, but anything is better than...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rear seat removal

Here is the approach I took. Since I use my rear seat to store larger items I made a simply floor mount. I used the bolts for my seat and a piece of wood I had in my garage. I painted the wood black and added some tie down points. Works great for me so far. This is in a 2019 Tundra Crew Cab.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 1UP bike carriers/accessories

I've had a few different bike racks in the past and this is hands down the best. I use mine to carry two mountain bikes and I love it. Loading bikes on this rack is a lot easier and all of the components are top quality. Shipping to me in Maryland was free when I ordered mine.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift on a Tundra

I'm going to test drive a Tundra today after work. Looking at a SR5 Crew Max for the time being. I like that the Limited and Platinums have heated and ventilated seats but the price is a lot more and I could add those options down the road. The one feature that I'm looking for is one with the 38...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift on a Tundra

Yeah you are right, I've only had this Tacoma for 13 months. Changing it out for another truck isn't my smartest decision but I'm really looking forward to more interior space. Also, my Tacoma is a manual and it's a pain driving it in traffic and off road. I'm still on the fence and I'm...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift on a Tundra

So I'm considering upgrading my current Tacoma to a Tundra but I'm keeping my Swift. Looking at the measurements and specs of the Raven my Swift should fit just fine but I haven't seen any pics of this. Does anyone have any info on this? I've noticed that the Raven and Swift have similar...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Clothing Storage Drawers added to a 2007 FWC Keystone

Nice work! I'm using a similar system with plastic drawers. I like how you added the wood frame around them to give it more structure.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bailey's 2018 Raven Shell - Build & Photos

Not trying to hijack BaileyJ's awesome topic so I'll keep my response short. Basically, all I did was mount a small table on top of the window area(attached to the wood wall). Not much room to work with but I used some folding supports that I purchased off amazon. The table top was salvaged...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bailey's 2018 Raven Shell - Build & Photos

It's great to see another shell build. I wanted to keep things simple in my build. I added some house ottomans that have storage in them for a seating area. It's nice because I didn't loose any floor space since mine are up on the wheel area. The main reason I did this was to have the ability...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift

Looking good man. Not too many Swifts on here. We have chatted on Instagram a few times. I like the interior of your camper. We have to come up with creative ways since the Swifts are small. I need to share some of my changes that I've made to mine.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cheap / Functional Table Mod

Here is my idea on a cheap and functional table mod. I used Rubbermaid Closet Organizers that I purchased from Lowes. Notice the white mounting slide. Secured with small bolts(5 of them). This pic shows the legs that the table attaches to. Using this system allows for optimal leg room...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Random FWC Photos

Did some camping at a KOA this weekend off Lake Ontario. Sadly this picture was taken during the 10mins of sunshine we had all day. The rest of the time was spent in the camper due to high winds and rain. Still a great time.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet shell on a Tacoma

Hey Bill, I can't answer all of your questions but the shudder I experienced in my 2016 Tacoma. Mine seemed more like a power issue and I only noticed it a few times and figured out that I was using cheap gas. Depending on the year and miles on your truck you may want to look into a few...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC New Awning

I started researching awnings the day I put down a deposit on my FWC. Coming from a long list of overland built rigs, an awning is a must in my book. Not just for staying out of the sun but for creating extended living spaces. My ideal of a great awning would be one that covers the side and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West East of the Mississippi FWC owners chime in

Hey everyone! I've been on here for a few months now and just recently saw this topic. Figured it was time to post my location. I'm in the Army so I move around a lot. Currently live in Upstate New York but originally from NC and will be moving down to MD in a few months. I have a 2016 Swift...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flush mount sinks

Hey Chris, Thanks for the info. The main reason I want a covered sink is to maximize workable space in the camper. Since mine is a Swift every inch of space needs to be used efficiently. I've thought about building a top cover for a basic sink but I figured I would have a good selection from...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Random FWC Photos

After the long wait I finally got the call that my camper was ready for pick up. First night we stayed in what seemed like an abandoned campground in Maryland. Rained all night. The next day we drove closer to DC and stayed in a place that was completely full. Some how I got the last...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flush mount sinks

My camper is the shell model and I'm in the process of building a sink system in my camper. I've seen the systems that most of you use with water containers but here is my plan: Use two jerry can water containers(one for grey water and another for clean). Place them close together and build a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2016 Tacoma with eagle camper

I'm not 100% sure but I would imagine they would. I have a Swift coming my way and I've seen two 2016s with a Fleet on them. If the Fleet and Swift work so should the Eagle. I would give FWC a call and ask.
