I thought about the starting battery being low. It tests between 12.5 and 12.6 after sitting all night. From what I read that's normal for a wet battery unless I don't understand correctly. I thought about maybe getting an AGM starting battery but it seems like an expensive attempt at a dilution.

I guess I should have been more specific. I'm interested in doing some fairly tough off roading. More than just fire roads. I don't want to be winching or paddling through snow but I'd like something fairly technical. Preferably something with disbursed camping along the way.

FWC will sell you the wiring kit for $75. Really easy to install. One wire to positive with a circuit breaker inline, one wire to ground and one to a connection that completes when your lights are on.

I'll throw my .2 cents in here for what it's worth...I wouldn't worry about weight with your truck either. I'd focus more on the options you need, quailty of the product, and that if fits you. With this type of camper and with a 250/2500 sized rig or better...weight is really a non-factor. If...
