RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck Camper Magazine reviews the 2018 FWC Hawk

Love having 2 10lb propane tanks, its not like you go through them fast. One runs out you have a backup, and they are easy to fill. agree on having FWC recommendations on tires/suspension suggestions. That would have helped when I was looking at buying a unit. T

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Fiamma Awning

the fiamma awning is awesome. seconded on making sure the leg knobs are tightened before putting away. We thought we lost one but luckily I found it trapped inside the case...phew!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hawkeye Rovi has been ordered....now we get down to waiting

We received our Hawk in March from Gary and also had a wonderful experience working with him. We have it mounted on a 07 tundra 30 days so far in the camper, mostly weekends and a road trip to sask the 3 way fridge has been great with our generally cool, cloudy weather and forests around...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AC power not working when plugged into shore power 2017 Hawk

Hey WTW'ers I just received my 2017 Hawk (whoot! will post some pics soon!)..Took it out for a easy weekend to a site with shore power to learn the unit. Plugged it in, and noticed at first the fridge did not switch to AC power mode. then I tested the AC outlets and nothing. The DC components...

I get my camper up here in BC this wednesday! This couldn't have arrived at a better time...thanks FWC! As a clueless new (soon to be) owner, one topic that is missing in the manual is dealing with grey water.. T

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current fridge options

Thanks Seth for your input! very helpful. I think for myself who will mostly camp in the PNW/BC area with all its forested shade and short fall daylight/seasons, rec sites without shore power, etc, the larger 3 way fridge looks like the only way to go. Cheers! T

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current fridge options

I'm hoping to order a Hawk soon and I'm still torn between the 2 way and 3 way(isotherm 130). Its only because I live in the pacific northwest where there's far less sun to solar charge the batteries, especially in the fall. I don't expect to be camping longer than 2-3 days so maybe the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West options list for new Hawk, opinions? thoughts?

thanks again for all the responses...I'm so happy I asked! However now I have some decisions(good ones) to make some follow up questions . it has to be said that I'm new to this and I'm very much a layman when it comes to all things mechanical, electrical, etc. I'm eager to learn though. Ask...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Isotherm Refrigerator in New FWC

If its not too much trouble would you mind posting a couple pics of the isotherm? I would like to see how the large one fits within the hawk...Im debating whether I should go with as large as possible or would the mid size one suffice. thanks! T

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West options list for new Hawk, opinions? thoughts?

All these replies have been very informative and helpful....thanks all! The most difficult decision I think will be the fridge. I was sold on the 3 way by virtue of it being able to run off propane and living(therefore camping) where its often cold, cloudy and rainy. The 2 ways can have more...

Hello WTWers I'm putting together an options list for a new Hawk, which I hope to order in the next couple months. I live in the pacific northwest(BC canada). I have a 2007 tundra that will have airbags. the camper will live on the truck full time. I would love to hear what the community here...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2007 Tundra prep with FWC Hawk

Hello, After suffering in tents cold and wet with my small family up here in BC I’ve decided that a truck and a truck camper is in my future. I’m on bit of a budget so I decided to buy a used truck and (likely) will buy a new hawk. I bought a 2007 Tundra 5.7L double cab with the towing...
