RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Auxiliary or Driving Lights Mounted to Cabover Overhang?

Since I had quite the gap between the camper and the cab, I decided to add a prinsu rack to act as a air deflector. Subsiquently installed a pair of visionx adv series driving lights.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2012 Eagle Winter Project - Truckfridge, Propex, Solar

Sounds like your doing what I did with my 08' Eagle, the Propex HS2000 is a great choice just make sure that you duct the burner exhaust correctly. I went all in when I gutted and rewired my camper using tin coated copper wire, red arc, blue sea system and renogy equipment. My best advice is to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winter camping and furnace size

You'll be fine with a second battery, I was able to go 4 days with a single battery before electronics quit functioning. The furnace doesn't pull more than 4 amps and as long as you monitor and are sparing with your usage you should have no issues with 3-4 days.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winter camping and furnace size

After spending last winter in the camper fulltime over in the Cascades here are my five things I learned the hard way. 1- Ventilate, the moisture build up in these campers is ridiculous. I sleep with my lower side window open and roof vent(If its not raining). 2- Wipe down any moisture inside...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Furnace question

Okay so slight exaggeration, but could have been bad. What happened was the furnace wouldn't light so naturally I pulled it apart had spark but no gas narrowed it down to what I thought was a faulty gas solenoid, replaced with a new one and put it back together. Turned the thermastat to on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Furnace question

After the factory installed atwood furnace nearly blew up the camper, I decided to go to the Propex HS2000 and so far I am very impressed with this little unit. In comparison to the Atwood the build quality is second to none, no sharp edges, uses weather pack connections and only 1.6 amps of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bottom of Fleet camper (near door) peeling

The fridge access hatch is the easier one, the rubber seal should slide back over the hinge. If not amazon has the whole panel for $80. Now the harder problem is the aluminum is pitting, I had the same problem on my 2008 Eagle as long as the floor is still level and isn't rotting I suggest...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift

Probably the most qualified to answer after spending the previous winter in the camper fulltime here in the PNW. In my full honest opinion it sucks for fulltime but if your only using for weekend trips and have ability to dry it out afterwards it it will be fine. The problem I had was...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Has anyone installed a diesel heater in a truck camper

I just made sure to cut the hole a smidge bit bigger than the output. For the exhaust I used solid copper piping (see photo)Hopefully the pipe won't be stolen.... might need to paint it. Also to note the flooring in the refrigerator/cabinet area is thicker than the length of the exhaust output.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Has anyone installed a diesel heater in a truck camper

I was in between a Webasto diesel heater and a Propex propane furnace, I opted for the latter just from experiance it was going to be easier to maintain and less noisy. Diesel heaters definetly have their place such as class A-C rigs and boats. I was able to fit the HS2000 inside the old...
