    Other than Anchorage, it's easy to camp in Alaska. I would avoid the commercial campgrounds, as they are almost always parking lots.

    It's always best to have matching tires with 4 wheel drive. It might cost you more in the long run having mismatched tires. Since you have 4 tires if you include your spare, Craigslist would be a great way to pay for part of the other 3 tires you need.

    How long will you be in Alaska? It can be difficult to find non-combat fishing in Kenai, depending on how far you like to walk. Let me know what your preferences are and maybe I can come up with some suggestions. Stan
