Whoa! That is clearly a previously cracked step that gave way. Super sketch! I'll be getting a camper next month with those steps and unfortunately, I do not have the benefit of being only 165 lbs! I'm going to have my dealer check them out thoroughly before taking delivery.

I thought perhaps they added the rubber bumpers to separate the camper from the front of the bed so there would be room to flex, but thinking about now, the truck doesnt really flex like that anyway. Weight forward for sure. I'm going to do this, thanks for the tip

Thanks, yes I'm aware of that. Although, making a swift just long enough to also fit a long bed perfectly would have been nice, that's all. The already bulging-out swift/short bed owners probably wouldn't have minded it being a couple inches longer. :D Anyway, what I'm really getting at is...
