THX for that video link. I sent it off to Rob @ Van Specialties to see what he thought he could do about adding that rear slide out box under the bed platform they put in for us. That box would be a big help in organizing under that cavernous space! Cheers, Thom

We had a great five-day-mini-adventure (our preferred Monday through Friday). Here is one shot taken coming up from one of the hammocks i set up down near the creek... and one from the road... the creek is right beyond that dense folage and trees. . . And this was my view from the...

I have a build thread over at the sportsmobile forums if you are interested in how we pulled it off. (link to build thread). Ours is based on a soon-to-be history chevy AWD 1500 cargo...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Noticed a curious thing about our LED lights

I can report that in our rig i've installed a Xantrex meter... it also draws about 0.1 ah. And when turning on LEDs i see that with one on the meter reads 0.2...and with 6 LEDs turned on it reads 1.0 so there is some "rounding" of the Xantrex also. Here is a before and after shot. We really like...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The case for getting far, far away

yuppers, a nice read. Cari & I also throw in the mix _timing_. We are fortunate (for our style) in that we are able to take off Monday > Friday once a month. And the other three weeks we have our preferred Wed/Thurs weekend. This allows us to not only go to those places that few venture even on...

Cari & I have about ~4 to 6 months worth of FD food-meals in our various rigs (if you recall we live full time in RVs). Anywhoo... i'm not concerned about the _End of the World_ happening, but the food is easy to prepare, tasty, and easy to store. We rotate through what we have and resupply...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Auxiliary Battery Discharge Question

Greetings Steelhead, I have a similar setup in our rig in that we have 2 Optima AGM batteries and i have calculated/observed about a 10% drain on my system per month. This is a bit more than the Optima site states but i must also account for the ~.06ah draw from the built in Xantrex monitor. I'm...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone tried this awning on a FWC?

you might want to do some research on the foxwing's temperament in wind. I was considering utilizing one on our rig and after some due diligence decided to look elsewhere. It is a beautiful design, though with its tendency to act like an unbrella in a breeze is not something i want to deal...
