I will be providing fake doctors notes for those with employment disease. ME: Hmmm.... I think I might be coming down with something... cough... cough... Dr. Dog: There is a natural cure for your disease, but it is only grows in Death Valley and must be administered immediately after...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Digital Themostat (aftermarket install)

Ooh, I might have to get one with a remote. Perfect when you're too lazy to even roll out of bed. And not just to turn it up. Been times I wanted to turn it down too. Glad I'm not the only one that was thinking that... I had talked myself out of it, but now... hmm...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension question

I wouldn't worry about the weight difference with the tailgate off. Your measuring will get you close to the right pressures and you will customize from there as you see fit. Kyle

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Winter Insulation

I added the Reflectix A.K.A Foil/Bubble/Foil insulation under the mattress last year and it makes a big difference. I have my house insulated with this stuff and am very happy with the performance. It's easy to work with, & compact. I use this stuff for just about everything I need to keep...

Also in a pinch you probably have something else in the camper that runs on AA. Headlamp, small flashlight, radio, digital camera, etc. Kyle

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension question

I have the Firestone airbags on my Dodge as well. With the Lorenz suspension I have to run the bags at a higher pressure to handle the camper weight. I have played with the pressures back and forth a bit and seem to have it dialed in now with about a third more pressure on the driver's side to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Awesome Sprinter Based Camper

My thoughts on it are just pipe dreams at the moment... no major projects for the camper any time soon. I thought the use of space and some of the products chosen were really well thought out designs. The Froli bed unit I was especially interested in for the same reasons you mentioned...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Awesome Sprinter Based Camper

This Dodge Sprinter based camper has some pretty cool features in it. I have some ideas spinning in my head for mods to my FWC... and after my discussion at my get together in KOFA with some friends last weekend and seeing this guy's build, I think I need to get a new truck, a Keystone shell...

I also adjusted the cycle time on my furnace. I would rather it run in shorter bursts than cycle forever in 15 the minute "Flame thrower" mode that it was set on when it came from the manufacturer. Care to share how you did this? This is my biggest complaint about the furnace.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Chains

I don't carry them. I'm not sure how well they work in mud. I've usually heard of using them more for snow and ice. A good aggressive tread, a locker or limited slip, a sand ladder, hi lift and winch are more along the lines of what I would suggest. Having said that, the Jeep runs BFG...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What kind of Four Wheel Camper are you?

My intended usage is pretty much the same as KC. Alice and I looked at it as the way for us to have a high level of comfort, but still be able to get out into the middle of nowhere without anyone else around. People do seem pretty surprised at some of the places that we take it. These are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roosevelt Lake

I have a 12 gallon version that seals up pretty tight. It was bigger than I wanted, but was all they had before I left for a trip in an "organized" campground. I forget who makes it, but it comes from Camping World. Kyle

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West First trip west

That night we decided to stay in a hotel. I didn't want to push my luck with the GF by spending another cold, rainy, windy night in the camper.;) Smart man! Looks like you had an enjoyable trip. Thanks for sharing. Kyle

For what it is worth... I tried the thermarest route on our last trip and it wasn't nearly as comfortable as the memory foam.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West My Trip To Lourdes

We use 2 inch memory foam... I think I'd like to go even thicker than that though... I just wish there was a better place to store it. Kyle
