I think you'll be fine aside from the factory junk shocks. Don Thuren would be a good source of information. Either Don or Aaron his co-pilot would be glad to help. Small company with good products and great customer service...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Zodi Hot Showers

Same here. My 2gal Reunel tank, extended hose and cut down shortened wand has worked for 20 years now. Heat up some water in the coffee pot if needed and warm it to your heart's desire. The spray is adjustable and conserves water. We use them on Baja trips where water is scarce. Professional...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West dometic fridge/freezer door how to keep shut when driving?

Duct tape here too. I'm thinking of using two small eyebolts one on the freezer door, the other around the corner on the cabinet. Home Depot sells tiny bungee cords which I already use to keep the storage cabinets closed on my Northstar.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Does anyone truthfully have airbags that don't leak?

Carli's here. I've only in the last year had slight leakage. I need to get under there with the bubbles. With the fullsize vehicles, the Carli's enable way more articulation. I've had them since they were first offered.15# dry camper, maybe 30# loaded. King shocks and minipaks out back and Kore...

Get a 3500 of your favorite flavor and if it's a newer one get the DEF equipped ones. Better mileage, way fewer regenerations and minus the irritating TPMS.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Charcoal Grill Lovers, Let Me See Your Setup

Weber Smokey Joe here and a chimney to start it. The baked potato and corn trick works well and a steak just tastes better over wood with that bark. Coals go into the fire which lights the kindling instantly.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best place to buy D or E load range tires

You might have to go to a 16" rim which will open the door to a better selection of E rate tires. Discount should be able to lead you to an appropriate rim. E's are essential with a slide camper. New shocks is a must also if they haven't been upgraded.

Good buy! Great shortbed camper. The north/south bed configuration creates some pretty hearty storage alongside the mattress.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West My new Camper hauler.

I'm amazed that all manufacturers supply passenger rated tires on 1/2 ton trucks. The airbags elevate the load and the Hellwigs improve the highway handling immensely. I removed mine for a few months but are going to reinstall them again.

In Sept. 2009 my wife and I traveled via 101 and 1 from San Diego to Gold Beach,Or. This was during the recession which yielded empty campgrounds aside from Van Damme where we got the last spot. We especially loved the old roadside cementeries in California. High pressure dominated for two...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 3/4 ton truck with campers going to Mexico not allowed to cross?

In 2000 when I bought my Northstar they recommended me getting a California title to the camper. The lot supervisor had had a customer turned back at the Baja Norte/Sur border for not having a title or I assume a bill of sale. However, I've never had an issue at the border and my friend with a...
