RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper on an electric F-150

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Do you use water tank for drinking water?

we often use a water filter to fill up jugs in the backcountry so can stay out indefinitely. no different than backpacking or river trips if you take the time. Katadyn filters work well

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Tires Needed

have run Toyos and Michelin LTX on our 05 Tundra with Ocelot camper. got 60K on the LTX and had tread left. Toyos were good too. Running Cooper on the 21 Tundra with a Cougar and happy so far. Also, did have a set of KO2s inbetween the Toyos and Michelins on the 05 and they crapped out at 25K.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West More dry rot

If you can fiberglass it, look into marine fiberglass repair for rotted wood. Depending on deep into the plies it goes this can work just fine. Have used it on old wood drift boat for repair without issues.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why did you choose ATC over FWC

I have bought and built out two ATC campers (well, still building out the new Cougar we bought in March). If you like to do your builds or have custom work done, then ATC is the way to go. Spot on customer service and you can get exactly what you want even if they do the full build. Last I heard...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic Stove

Hmm, I have the 50210 model, but won't have it installed for another month or so. will be easy to test since I live at 6200' and can get to 9000' with a short drive. MarkBC: that is scary. and why I will have the propane alarm in the same space as the stove. Yikes.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Using a pro audio adj speaker stand to raise your roof

Have used this type of speaker stand for years on our Ocelot with boats, rocket box, etc. on top. no problem with the hand crank. RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West who has made move from first gen Tundra to Tacoma?

We have an 05 Tundra with an Ocelot camper - I built it out so likely a bit lighter than stock camper outfitted. We average 14 mpg (over 100K miles) and the ride is fine with a sway bar and air bags. But we are upgrading to a 2021 Tundra with a Cougar - so 8' bed. will lose some in getting...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Current Spike in Gas Prices

I tend to agree with Vic. While price does hurt for those that are on the edge, when I see the size of trucks and campers blowing by on the highway, I can only conclude that mileage and price don't really matter. On our current trip been keeping it to pretty much 60 and below which increased our...
