RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Blue Sphinx & Poinsettia Nevada - March 2017

Having spent a fair bit of time in Nevada, you two always come up with some new place to visit. Thanks for the ride!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper griddle

We actually use our Woody aluminum dutch oven for that kind of cooking. It works well for roasting chicken, pheasant, sharptail, etc. and cooking bacon, bread, mexican cassaroles, etc. It cleans up well so we use over fires and the stove. http://woodydutchoven.com/ Here is the link if you are...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Back Porch Light

Here is an easy one for you all electrical types (of which I am not). The back "porch" light on our Ocelot does not work. When I check for power at the light, it is getting power no matter what position the rocker switch is in. I am assuming the LED light is bad and the switch is also bad. Looks...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another Trip to Tofte

Nice. I have had friends work in that area and often talk about how much they liked it. Now I see why. Nice to to see tracks in the snow like that too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West From the Road

Have wanted to spend some time there, but always seem to be going somewhere else. Thanks for the post! Have you been over to Gold Butte?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tailgate width and camper width, how tight is to tight?

Our ATC Ocelot has about 1/4" at the most on both sides of our 05 Tundra. Just gotta have a light touch on the wheel when loading and unloading. And make sure you take your wife out to lunch and dinner when you load in the afternoon!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Picking up my Bobcat shell

Depending on the weather, a small towel to wipe down the inside of the fabric in the morning. Unless it vents really well, which it might with two vents. x3 on Bseek. Take a few trips and make notes. The build out is fun though - at least I thought so!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New batwing awning

Looks like they are on sale right now for $472.00. Might be a good deal if they work well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Batwing Awning on an ATC?

Don't see why it would not mount easily to an ATC. Basically same as the Fiamma, weight is about 40 pounds which is in the range of some of the Fiamma's.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hitch bicycle rack suggestions

We have been using the Yakima Swingdaddy (spendy, but worth it when you want to get the bikes out of the way) and a Thule (don't know the model) that simply swings down. Have used them on many thousands of miles of highways and two tracks without any issues to the rack or bikes. What I would...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suggestions for matching camper with my intended use

We have an ATC Ocelot and it is the right rig for us on an 05 Tundra. It is lightweight, great on rough 4WD roads, and slim profile for moving along brushy roads. That being said, as we get closer to retirement and more "full time" living in some type of camper set up, we are seriously looking...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 28 miles of new fishing access in Western NV

I have greatly enjoyed my time in that area over the years. This sounds great, thanks for the post. Interesting reading up on the Gov, it sounds like he made a personal commitment to visit every state park in NV.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West thermal pack

I made one last year, pretty straightforward if you have a decent sewing machine. I just made separate panels that simply velcro to the top strip.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension on F150

I have added leaf springs on trucks, which work fine until you use the truck without the camper and the bed raises and makes it harder to load stuff. Went with airbags this last time (on and 05 Tundra) and have been happy with them. We do some four wheeling, but at low speed and don't push too...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A taste of real winter in the West(ern portion of the NC coastal plain)

Good on ya Foy for the community service. Even here in frozen east Idaho, it always amazes how the first snowstorm of the fall proves challenging for the masses.

Simple solutions to what was likely an expensive replacement.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West furnace mounting - blowing air at the water tank & lines

I doubt it. We have about a 12" run of duct pipe to our outlet with our Propex and it is hot, but not that hot. Maybe if the lines were right up against it, but even then I doubt it would melt water hose.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West satellite radio or powered portable speaker?

We have portable speakers. Use them very little, usually only after being on the road for over two weeks. Prefer the quiet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Gore Tex pop top liner?

Having spent many nights in breathable fabric tents (Gore-Tex and ToddTex) in cold weather, there is still plenty of frost on the material. Never did spend any time in those tents in very humid, driving rain type climate though. Might be worth a try, likely have to double up the corners for wear.
