I use 2 batteries in mine because I camp a lot in the winter. The heater uses a lot of juice. I don't have a fridge, so the 2 batteries are overkill in the summer.

When I bought my camper, I just slid it in and tied it down with some ratchet straps ($25 at Walmart). Then when I got home, I could figure out exactly where to drill in the truck bed. If you drill in the wrong spot, your turnbuckles might not be long enough to reach between the eyebolts. Good luck!

Where do you get these? DR Walmart has them in the RV section... 3 for about $20. I got some at Big Lots... 3 for $8. I bet Harbor Freight would have them for cheap too. I have them stuck all over... inside cabinets and in all the dark nooks and crannies.

The Ranger wil fit, but it's for a long bed. It will stick out about 4" past the end of your tailgate.

It's a 2001 Ranger on a 2000 4 cylinder Tacoma. Later that day I climbed on top and swept off about 8 inches of cold light snow with no problems.
