RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

A lot of variables come into play to give you a hard number to set them at. ie... springs, how loaded is it.. etc.. Not sure the logic of inflating before, but the ORW here locally has some pretty knowledgeable folks there so I’d be interested in hearing why. As for your bed height.. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 46 gallon Tundra tank

The odd this about this tank and the mounting is that a skid plate wouldn’t do any good. The bottom of the tank is super stout. The issue is when it gets hit from the bottom and pushed up, it breaks the nutserts

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra Brakes

$179 sounds about right. What brand? Yes, as mentioned I noicted a huge difference. Not sure if rotors or pads but I’m super happy with it. Since day 1 when I bought it new, I’ve been disappointed with the brakes on the truck, even stock. Now they feel like they should.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra Brakes

Ive used DBA drilled and slotted for over 10 years on my different trucks. I ordered front and rears on Amazon. The rears arrived and I got an email saying the fronts were on backorder for basically forever. Many friends in the Land Cruiser world suggested Terrain Tamer brand out of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 46 gallon Tundra tank

Ive had this in my truck (2014 Tundra DC 4x4) almost 2 years now. Ill try to list all the pros and cons. My truck isn't my daily driver, if im driving it, chances are im offroad, or heading offroad. Pros: -Doubled my range, ive maxed it out at 523 miles on one fill -Super easy install, all...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Power inverters

I've been running a Xantrex ProWatt2000 inverter (around $450ish) in my truck for over 2 years now. Absolutely love it and more than enough for anything you might need. One day a friend and I were bored and went through my whole garage and tried every single power tool I had and a microwave...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra Brakes

I just got back from a week in Death Valley mostly Offroad. I upgraded my brakes to Terrain Tamer drilled and slotted front rotors and DBA slotted rear rotors. Hawk LTS Pads at all 4 corners. It honestly feels like a completely different truck and I couldn’t be happier.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra Brakes

No Sir I’m 99% sure none of the TRDs came standard with the “TRD BIG BRAKE” upgrade. It’s an add on and almost $3k. It also only fits the bigger wheels. The calipers are HUGE! I know for sure my 2014 has regular brakes.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What Brand is the 160 watt Solar Panel FWC Provides?

Thanks. For what that panel cost it would be disheartening needing to carry more. Want as little setup and take down time as possible.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What Brand is the 160 watt Solar Panel FWC Provides?

Thanks! Dang those are pricey! Love my Renogys! The 100watt couldn’t quite keep up in the heat with the fridge but when I added a second it was ample. 150 would be ideal but all their dimension are wacky and it won’t fit between the vents

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What Brand is the 160 watt Solar Panel FWC Provides?

Still planning my build. The plan was to swap over my (2) 100 watt Renogy panels from my truck to my hawk. However... with the (2) roof vents, it appears they wont fit. Someone on here provided me a dimension of 38" between the vents. Between the vents is where I would like to mount my...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A lot of FWC in Death Valley This Week!

We have done this in the past with good results on other stuff, might work here... Could you add some nylock nuts on the outsides of them and then once the turnbucklesa are adjusted to the right setting, tightening the nuts against them??
