RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A couple of option questions

Hey Rotti Another use for the fan. I have mine over the upper bed. I close all windows, the door and window flaps. Turn the fan on to suck out on high. This pulls the fabric side in and then release the front support and then the back support. Then turn the fan off and shut the cover over the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a back porch

Nicely done Mr B. Looks well thought out. Maybe a few tweeks and time will tell. In my neck of the midwest you better paint that porch. The snow and salt are coming. Happy travels. 1tonpaulie

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dont Get Eatten

I have a friend riding his BRP as Barko calls it. A Honda XR650 from LA to North Carolina and back. Last night he got to Yellowstone and the park ranger told him two people got killed by grizzley bear. So he went and bought his bear spray! Paulie

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Blasphemy! Considering a travel trailer?

Hey Rich My name is Paul and I live here in the midwest. I started out with a 30 foot class C motorhome. It was me, the wife two kids and the pooch. We did that for 4 years. Got tired of paying car insurance 12 months and using it 4 months. Went to a Travel trailer 23 feet long. It was nice but...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane System for Grandby Shell

I Agree with Dirty Dog. Keep your tank outside in a sealed box with venting of fresh air.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometics 3 cu ft 3 way

Must be kept level even when not being used. Or the camper is off the truck. I took my camper off and it was not level for a week or so. The next week end I put the camper on the truck and turned the fridge to propane to chill fast. The next day I went to load the fridge, the fridge was HOT the...

    X2 Agreed. Bad idea

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How about a fireplace in the camper?

You do not want vent free. I used one one winter in my shop. When the gas is burned it contains water, the windows sweat and it smelled bad. Then I saw black mold growing on the insulation paper. Now I use a direct vent with no more problems.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dog Delivery from NM to MT

Great job Barko. Not many people would pay Big Bucks and then hand over the dog to new owners. You have a big heart for these animals. You said in your post Forest rats. Being from the midwest what are these.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West All Terrain Camper Cougar Pictures

That's a nick looking camper. I am happy to see the Engel fridge. If you use a MT35 with a two zone you can open it with the roof down and get a cold drink or some ice cream bars.. It works very slick. Just a suggestion

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Pop-Up Campers and "Critters"

I live in Northern Illinois. We have Mosquitos the size of bird. We camp in Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. Our biggest problem is raccoons. They try to open the roof vent while you sleep. I have taken snap mouse traps and put peanut butter on them and put them up by the vent. Whack and thats...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Awning

We had a awning with a screen room on a Coleman Popup. What a pain in the Azz to setup. And if it was raining to reset up at home. I went to instant Gazebo up in a snap. And out here in the midwest we have BIG BUGS!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West traveling with a yellow lab

If you want help from a dog or a shedding cat. Find a pet groomer in your area. Call and ask if they use anti shedding when bathing. Our lab and cat shed all the time. Since the groomer found this anti shed additive we have no more mess. It really works.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a back porch

I got to use a friends Versa Hauler this past weekend. Nice unit but for $525.00 plus freight to pricey for me. This back porch sounds great till you try one. With the BRP as Barko calls it, I would need two extra sets of hands to load and tie down. I think my trailer is worth its weight in gold. :(

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a back porch

I like both Cort and Craigs ideas for the back porch. I agree with Barko about moving the porch further back for better access to the camper door. I like the way Craig went through the bumper in two different locations. I think if you use just the hitch and extend it out it might be to springy...
