It’s a 2021 grandby I’m not sure of the heater model I’ll have to find the manuals. The power draws down so fast once we start running the heat. I was very surprised

    forced air furnace and power

So I am learning the nuances of my new grandby flatbed. I spent two nights in the desert recently with low temps and my heater was real finicky. I did not realize how much power the heater fan draws and even though my batteries were at 12.5 ish volts, i could not get the heater to work and my...

    fastgun attachment on flatbed

ya the rails hold the rear rack for the lumber rack but may have other fucntions. I agree i think its a little too weak to attach the turnbuckles too. Ill be looking into fabricating some tie down points in the near future.

Flatbed Owners: Anyone Using External Turnbuckles vs. Through-Bolting?

Maxstar, I am curios what you ended up doing with your camper as it sounds like we are/were in the same in terms of use. I have a worktruck that the camper is on and I intend to take it off quite frequently. Its a flatbed grandby and its bolted through with 6 bolts. I have not taken it off yet...

    FWC Flatbed Discussion

thanks to everyone who replied. I am trying to avoid spending another 30-40k on another truck but that may eventually be inevitable but id like to make it work for a few years. Seems like welding the plates/nuts might save time in some respects but then that is lost in othet respects. I think...

    Yakima tracks only- best crossbars?

i beleive there is a bar that has a built in extension inside the bar. I was planning on going with that as is will allow one person to load large items such as paddle baords and kayaks. You can extend the bar temporarily beyond the width of the camper so you are down on the ground and getting...

    Flatbed Bolts, How Tight?

I like your setup with regards to tying the camper to the flatbed. Is there a reason you couldn’t of done that with a fwc? I have a flatbed grandby being built and I intend on coming up with a system like yours as I’ll be removing the camper frequently.
