    Lagun Table Install

I mounted mine to the back wall. Keeps the main area mostly open. I didnt actually screw it to the back wall though. I glued two pieces of 3/4" wood together, and added a strip at the top to stop any bowing. I drilled through the plate I made and put 1/4-20 threads in the holes through the back...

New thermal pack: quilted with lower window covers

Wish this was an option in 2021. The basic 1 layer thermal pack is an absolute joke. Too bad I can't send that back for a credit...

    Secure slide out bed

I have the normal cushions, plus a 2" topper, and under the cushions I have Aire-Flow Hypervent. Now that I think about this seems to have started when I put in the hypervent. Guessing the hypervent has reduced traction from the cushions and thats letting the bed slide out.

    Secure slide out bed

I have the slide out bed option in my Hawk. While driving the bed slowly slides out. This is a problem because the bed is hitting my computer monitor. Y'all got any ideas to keep the bed from sliding out? Thanks!

Hawk Shell Shore Power and Lithium Build

My charger usually sends the full 30amps when charging, until close to the end. I have my Victron monitor reset SOC to 100% when it sees 14 or so volts for some amount of time, so I think the battery is getting fully charged. I actually had a few questions when I set mine up and called PD...

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

This happened to me in my second season. The only thing that "fixed" the issue was replacing the sail switch. FWC sent me one for free. I'd be willing to bet the switch will have to be replaced every year or so. Im at less than a year on the new switch and no problems so far.

Hawk shell AC and Table install

Made some more progress on the workspace. Setup a mini computer thats attached to the table. It has an i5 and 16g ram with a 512 nvme, so solid enough to do some actual work. The computer wants 19v and the display wants 12v. Instead of having different adapters etc, I got a USB PD outlet that...

Hawk shell AC and Table install

I used two vertical boards outside that use bolts to hold the frame in place. Really I just use those to keep it steady when Im putting the AC in place, after that the weight of the AC holds everything in place. So to remove the frame I take the 4 bolts out and then it comes right off. Let me...

Hawk shell AC and Table install

Wow thats a nice antenna. I might have gone that route had I known about it. Do you have a thread that covers the details, setup, etc?

Hawk shell AC and Table install

The main mast is a two piece telescoping fiberglass pole. I have 3 different antenna attachments I can put on it. I keep them all in the crew cab part of my truck. Aiming the 4G antenna is not bad. I basically just loosen up the trigger clamp slightly and spin the pole. I use Network Cell Info...

Hawk shell AC and Table install

Got my office situation in place for an extended fishing trip to Lake Superior. Figured I would share to help anyone else looking to do the same. The AC mount was inspired by longhorn1.

I finally got around to adding these today. The last time I saw a quality of life improvement this big was when I had my wisdom teeth removed! Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks. I like the price of the decked tracks way better than the others I have looked at.

    Installing Roof Rack

Thats a great idea thanks. I actually saw a thread where you mentioned you got rails from Lee Tools and it made me think of using uni-strut. I did electrical work in my 20s and we used unistrut for everything. Do yall think that would be a bad idea for a roof rack...

    Installing Roof Rack

Hello! My 2021 Hawk shell does not have the Yakima rails installed. I would like to add them. Can anyone provide measurements for mounting locations or any suggestions to find solid mount points? Thanks!

    Dometic furnace reliability

That facebook thread goes into the history of the different furnaces they have used and some of the reasoning behind their current offering. Apparently they have looked at others, but for one reason or another is was decided they are not a good fit. When I spoke with FWC about my furnace Brenda...

    Dometic furnace reliability

I'm not really looking for trouble shooting help specifically. More wanting to hear peoples experience with this heater over long periods of time. Even more interested if they have had to fix it a some point. That said, It will not light. The fan will come on for 30 seconds or so, no igniter...

    Dometic furnace reliability

Hello!, I picked up my new camper about 3 months ago. I have slept in it maybe 15 nights in the Wisconsin cold. The furnace decided to fail as it is want to do. I spoke with FWC asking if I could just get a refund on it and return it. I don't want a heater failing in spring or fall in...

FWC Electrical basics and upgrading to lithium!

Wanted to follow up on this. After a few weeks of use I have noticed the PD 30 amp only puts out > 14 volts at the very end of a charge. Then as soon as the battery is charged it drops back down to 13.8. So the window when the voltage is over 14 is pretty small. I have not had the main power...

    Anderson Connectors

For a tiny truck bed camper like the Hawk is there a requirement to use marker lights? I asked my dealer to not install any wiring as I did not want anyone screwing around with my truck wiring and had no desire for alternator charging. So currently I don't run any marker lights.

Rear suspension mods needed for Hawk Shell on 3/4 ton truck?

I have my Hawk on a 2500 Ram. The truck feels good when I'm driving with the camper on. I have an aftermarket sway bar and air bags. I don't put much air at all in the bags because the camper only squats the backend about an inch. Before I had a Palomino that was quite a bit heavier. That...
