RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Ugly 2004 Sportsmobile 4x4 For Sale! $28K

Well, I don't actually think it's ugly. But it certainly isn't pretty! This van has been used for its intended purpose, with 20 years of offroading adventures in the USA and Mexico. The paint is covered in clearcoat brushmarks. The body has several dents and a few significant cracks...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West October Black Rock?

But I've never had Soldier Meadows as my primary destination, so just wondering if some of the more obscure roads that come in from the north or west would be shortcuts to S.M. or if they'd just end up being "interesting" explorations that would take much longer than taking the obvious route and...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Vantage, WA (area)

Right on, how close to those windmills were you? No closer than a few miles away this trip, but last summer I camped just under one (well, I was probably still a half mile away, but it felt like they were looming over me) here (46.98364, -120.17587): http://octopup.org/2008/whiskey-dick Note...

Stunning photos! I have to check Red Rocks out, if just to see it. Apparently this weekend the crowd was there for the Allman Brothers and Greatful Dead. I was camping across the river from you that weekend! We could just barely hear the concert: http://octopup.org/2009/quilomene -- Geoff

And, I must admit that I run my photos through Photoshop before posting them -- to rotate & crop them, improve the lighting and contrast. They wouldn't be as impressive if I just uploaded them straight from my camera.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Cameras and Photo related gear

This might be a little beyond your budget parameters, but after years of using my trusty old Canon S30 (which was more than adequate for website photos), I finally bought an SLR camera: The Nikon D80 with a 18mm - 200mm zoom lens. I didn't want to have to swap lenses. If I had to do it again...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West My northern Baja trip this January

Yeah, I didn't really make it clear that I had photos on the linked site. Edited... Good to meet you Sportsmobiler captainkettel! Looked like a great trip. Don't know many people that have been to el barril. I go to that white house with the blue tile dome every summer, belongs to family...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West My northern Baja trip this January

I went on a northern Baja road trip at the beginning of this month. (I guess Baja qualifies as western (North) America, and I see others posting about Baja, so...) I started this trip with lots of internet research for places to investigate -- to track down ruins, petroglyphs, secluded...
