Thanks, Crater Lake is on the list. We will be heading up 395, so I'll look into the other notable mentions. Thanks for the tips! Adam

North-Eastern CA / Southern Oregon recommendations?

I'm making the trek from San Diego to Bend Oregon with my Tacoma and Four-Wheel camper, leaving Aug 10th and returning by the 28th. Will be visiting my sister in Bend and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the masses to see the eclipse. But for the rest of the trip, I'll be camping...

    Deaver Springs

Hi Tradmonkey. Being local to National Springs as well, curious if you got yours installed and how you like them? I am considering using NS for my Dodge and just talked to them today. I need to get the front and rear weights so we can work out springs. Anyone else with National Springs want...

Suspension recommendation for a Toyota Tacoma

To upgrade a 2001 Taco, I too went with a custom leaf pack, but from National Spring Company. I opted for the slightly softer Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks rather than the Bilstiens, and the adjustability is nice - stiffen it up for handling on the highway, and soften it for the off-road. Out...

    Deaver Springs

Rob, Well this summer I pretty much left the camper on. I just recently took it off....I have not put my shell back on. The truck rides rough but nothing out of control. To be honest with you it just feels like a truck with a real suspension.....the kind of ride I remember from when I was a...

Handheld GPS opinions? Help me pick one.

Haha, "I was going to say look at my location, what do you think?" But then realized when the software last updated my location dropped off the display, I'll update that. I'm in Everett, WA (30mi north of Seattle)... there are 3 in a 30mi radius. :P Haha! It didn't show that from the...

Handheld GPS opinions? Help me pick one.

GPS isn't my strong suit but I've been saying/wanting to get one for some time and cabelas is running some sales so its got my attention again. Good reception under cover is my main importance. Use would be hunting, hiking, etc. Not as concerned about driving with it. Which one would you pick...

    I'm dying here

I am getting peeved with the Deaver Suspension company. They couldn't be slower is making a custom pack. However I went Jeeping to Oriflamme trail (and others) Monday in the Jeep. Saw a camp-spot that I would like. Totally isolated next to a small desert creek under some trees. Will try that one...

    Stove ignitor mod

I just got my ignitor for my stove and put in it. It works great! Her are a few pictures. Very nice! I wish I had the clearance underneath to put the button on the same panel as the control dials like you did here. Looks like it came that way from the factory.

    Stove ignitor mod

Hey all, new to the WTW forum here, and a new owner of a '94 FWC Ranger II. The stove in it had no ignitor, and while wandering the aisles of Wal-Mart the other day, I came across this little gadget. Robot or human? It's a AA battery powered push button ignitor for a gas grill. Perfect, I...

    update...new owner 92' Eagle

My link I'm starting this topic to gain insight on future mods and creature comforts (the wife know them as 'necessary' upgrades), unfortunately i have a hard time leaving things alone, so it begins... 1) Change came quick with this camper, starting with the mattress. I purchased the 4"...
