RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Four Wheel Campers Used Buyers Guide

I like this idea for a post. Four things come to mind. 1 - On earlier models, look for rotten particle board. It is replaceable without too much skill, but will take some time and should be considered. Anyone know the year that FWC switched to plywood? 2 - Front and rear spring panels fail...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Exterior Sheet metal screws

I recently replaced the screws on my camper with stainless. 1/2 inch is too short. If you go to a fastener distributor you should be able to buy the #8 hex head screws in stainless for about $6 per 100. Avoid the hardware and building stores as it will cost a fortune. Joel

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Wanted: FWC Bench Seat/Bed Mechanism

Anybody with your apparent skills can build a better couch|bed than the fip-over design. You will have more room in the bed position and more comfort in couch position. I've been admiring your handywork, Mark. I have even thought about taking a stab at some of those.... I am, however, a...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Interior Trim Questions

Hi All, I'm having trouble finding two interior trim parts for my pop up camper restoration and I imagine it has to do with the fact that I don't know the proper name for the parts. First, does anyone know where I can find the metal trim that covered the edge of the wood around the perimeter...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Waterproofing Slide In Portion of Camper - Best Material?

Hi All, I recently discovered this forum - looks like a good place. I'm in the process of resurrecting a FWC for an International Scout. In addition to replacing a lot of parts, I have converted the unit into a slide in camper so it can be more easily removed and installed. I'm using it on...
