    No see-um bug netting

I bought the no see-um fabric more than a year ago so I'm not positive, but I think I got it from skeeta.com, mine is very fine, it looks kind of like zigzag plastic, you cannot see strands of thread.

    No see-um bug netting

Hi all, Thanks for your thoughts and tips above. I decided to tackle this sewing project. It was more effort that I hoped for but its done now and I hope it helps if/when we encounter no-see-ums. We've mostly experienced them in Utah, Outer Banks NC, and various places in Idaho. I purchased...

    No see-um bug netting

Thanks for the RAID idea. We'll likely use that or something similar if I don't get this project finished. For now I'm thinking I may replace the screen door screens with the no see-um netting unless I am just add it. For the four big pop-up windows I think I can use sew-on Velcro. For the...

    No see-um bug netting

I'm thinking of adding no see-um bug netting to all the screens. Has anyone had experience with this? It seems I would need stick-on velcro to put on the camper itself. Then some sew-on velcro to sew onto the no see-um netting. We've had issues with no see-ums in southern Utah in the past and...

    Rain comes in window

Being a Chessie he couldn't have minded getting wet. Plus it was less to mop up - just have him jump out and shake! True, it was us people that had the issue with the dog getting wet. These dogs love water.

    Rain comes in window

Joanie, Yes the boot is a bad idea if you care at all about your paint. A better solution would be the roof vent in combination with a cracked window or the floor access tie down doors open. Better yet, a Fantastic Fan especially if your away from your vehicle. The best solution, of course, is a...

    Rain comes in window

I had the FWC boot that fits between the camper and the truck. It ruined the paint job on both. The grit that collects there will sand away the paint. I threw it away. That is good to know. Thanks for sharing.

    Rain comes in window

We had a 1996 Toyota truck with a 2007 Eagle on it. Rain did not come through the back window (between the cab and camper) of the camper while driving. We need to leave that window open because our dogs ride in the camper, not the truck. Last year we upgraded to a 2008 Tacoma with the same...

A couple of other little mods

Thanks for the tips. I checked out the 'low cost mods' thread and found lots of good ideas there. Happy trails everyone!

A couple of other little mods

What other modifications have you done? I am wondering what to do with the space between the kitchen cabinets and the back window (of the truck, not by the back door). It has a small step in it and it is carpeted. But I dont feel comportable screwing anything into the walls to hold a strap in...

Bolts holding camper to truck come loose

Thanks for your response Thanks. We will check into that. We also read the whole thread about bolts pulling the truck bed apart. There was some good info in there. Ours is starting to pull apart and we've only had it about 6 months. We need to work on our solution. Cheers, Joanie

Attaching eye bolts or other items for hooks

b team, i'm not sure how to find your thread. I searched all threads started by yourself but did not see one specifically called 'camper' or 'D rings'. Can you provide me a link or instruct me how to find it? Sorry but I am obviously still a 'junior member'. Joanie

Bolts holding camper to truck come loose

The bolts that attach the camper to our truck come loose every so often, especially this winter. We hand tighten them quite a bit. But we'd prefer they not come lose. Is there a trick or gadget others have used to keep the bolts from coming loose? Thanks again, Joanie

Attaching eye bolts or other items for hooks

I was wondering what others have used to attach things inside the camper. We'd at least like to have places to hook bungee cords to. But the fiber board seems so thin we're afraid they may just pull through. Thanks for your ideas and experience. Joanie

    Roof Rack Installation

need another roof rack cross bar We have the factory installed rack on an Eagle. We would like to purchase a rocket box for the top. But our bars are too far apart. Would it be possible to add another bar in front of the roof vent? Does anyone know of a good rocket box for this distance of...

    is a car wash safe

We have not taken our truck and camper through a car wash since we bought the camper. Is it safe? Has anyone experienced things breaking off? Are some types of car washes worse for the camper than others? Thanks, Joanie

A few quick shots of the shady boy awning

Shady Boy vs Four Wheel awning How much does this awning cost? How much does it weigh? It sounds like it may be better to buy this than the one Four Wheel sells. Would you agree? Joanie
