Welcome to WTW and congrats on the new camper (addiction!) ... You can find just about all information here. Folks will help. Airbags and E rated tires good ideas. I did change out my airbags when I had a new beefy leaf spring installed but I leave the camper on all the time since retiring) Air...

Wander The West Tire Width - Which is Better?

Time to replace tires.... nothing stays the same.... I researched tires last year and wouldn't ya know the tire companies changed things up again. I have always had Cooper AT3's and liked them but not impressed with wear. Tire companies seems to be saying 60 K and I do not get anywhere near...

    Wander The West Tick Talk

Last year we had a horrendous tick year. I treat clothes twice a summer as well as use picaridin spray. Our dog is thankfully mostly white. Last year it was common to find 4 a day on her. She also takes the 3-1 pill so if we miss them they die within 24 hours. Having an outside shower is also a...

Wander The West Is This My Bad?

RallyRok...I agree it does seem a bit tight*#s ... I was irritated as I am a 'clean other's trashed campsites" person. I was not about to dump grey water on a plover nest area but they don't know me and that's why the strict rule. Bummer too as that beach camp spot is gorgeous. They inspect all...

Wander The West Is This My Bad?

On Cape Cod Coast Guard beach way down at the tip... I was told the thedford is fine BUT... what stopped me was there has to be a tank to handle grey water equal to the tank of fresh water. It has to be stock equipment. (I had considered taking out my 20 gallon fresh water and putting in two 10...

Wander The West You know you're a geezer when.......................

Sell them as one big unit to a vintage vinyl shop. Not one at a time. You might be surprised if they are in decent shape. That way somebody else cleans out your garage!

Wander The West Front Suspension Damage - This needs To Be Fixed

There's mostly positive coming out of this ! Just goes to show how important it is to do those pre liftoff inspections. So happy it turned out as it did and through this post others will learn to do those inspections (I hope). I love new parts too.... all shiny!

Wander The West PWM and MPPT question

Thanks for the reassurance Paul. I hate fires! Just don't want to throw good money after bad. So I'll call the tech line in hopes they will answer. But the Sunsaver 20 L looks like a plug and play ...no way to maker any adjustments Rob

Wander The West PWM and MPPT question

I happen to have an old PWM controller (Sunsaver 20L) from my old camper set up. I now have the 2 BB batteries with MPPT controller. I have an old 160 W panel, the frame of which was damaged by my stupidity but the panel still works. i have a saw mill shed where I use a 12 V winch to roll the...

    Wander The West Gas struts

If you look back a long time ago search on install I made a pdf of 15 page instructions for my eagle. Here is a 1/4" aluminum plate installed on the outside front and back (different dimensions ) which gives both side opposing force balance so relieving all stress from bolts and wall structure...

    Wander The West Gas struts

FWIW ...I installed Gemini 40 lb gas springs replacing the 30 lb Suspa ones about 5 years ago and they are still doing fine at half the cost. My Eagle (2011) uses the 40" ones.

Wander The West 2006 Eagle Camper Build and Questions

So many great mods folks have done and posted photos of either in their 'build' threads or in the photo gallery. I have picked up a bunch of good ideas from just looking at what others have done or seeing where people put various storage and appliances. For instance. I have a 2011 Eagle. I tore...

Wander The West Victron Shunt after update

Batteries weren't down they were full. No wiring change as I haven't used camper in 6 months. Fan didn't turn on. Now it does as I think fuse had oxidation. So batteries were never dead and fan works. All A-Okay now!! Appreciate the help.

Wander The West Victron Shunt after update

I will get out there this morning and try the suggestions and take a screen shot. I too have the charge set to 14.2 and the fan has been running for years on lithium. I'll check if it is stuck or the fuse too. Thanks again. It is really the first time I have had any trouble with the system ...

Thanks for your ideas. I just went out again and checked and in the Shunt app in the gear settings there is a "reset state of charge" button.... should I first reset this before synchronizing?
