RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fresh Water Drain Leaking

My water drain lever and drain body is completely plastic too. I just twisted the complete plastic drain body counter-clockwise. It's right hand threaded. The plastic drain body unscrews from the bottom of the fresh water tank. The wood camper bottom is sandwiched between the fresh water tank...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What's under your camper?

I've noticed a small amount of moisture underneath my camper when I pull the camper off. The truck/camper combo sees a lot of varied environments here in the mountains, i.e., rain,snow... The camper is on the truck fulltime except for maintainence. The truck bed has been LineX'd and I'm also...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fresh Water Drain Leaking

Thanks for the replies. The drain valve is simply screwed into the bottom of the water tank through the bottom of the camper. I replaced the teflon tape and added a rubber washer to take up the space between the tank and camper bottom. The fix will do for now until next time.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fresh Water Drain Leaking

Has anyone replaced their fresh water drain valve? I just noticed yesterday that the valve is leaking around the plastic flange that comes in contact with the bottom of the camper. How is the valve set up attached to the water tank? Barbed, glued or screw clamp ?? Any advice before I break...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West WTB camper & truck package. Will travel

Sorry to hear the about the trouble. Things happen for a reason. There's plenty of good campers out there. Be patient and one will come your way. I flew out to Montana a few years ago to pick up a used Ford truck and got the " switcheroo" pulled on me. The dealer had sold the truck that I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Wood Undercoating

We live in the mountains and plan on keeping the Tundra a full-time camper carrier. The back of the camper bottom overhangs the bed by a few inches so the wood base is exposed to the winter elements. Our Ford/Camper sees full-time use here and seems to have ice and slush hanging from the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper Wood Undercoating

Good Morning, I'm inspecting my "new camper" and noticed that the base coat of seal gray paint is worn and thin in spots. I'd like to refinish the bottom to protect the wood. The camper will live on the truck full-time and be exposed to lots of snow and ice here in the mountains. What has...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Arctic Pack on fulltime....

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was hoping to leave the insulation layer on fulltime. Sounds like it's possible. I assume I'll have to loosen the clamps in relation to the thickness of the insulation I'm adding?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Arctic Pack on fulltime....

Howdy Folks, I'm the proud new owner of a 2007 ATC Panther. Question for those of you that have an Arctic pack installed. Do you remove the insulation layer everytime you lower the top? It doesn't appear to be enough clearance around the front and back panels with the sides folded in. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane alarm keeps going off

Did you ever find your propane leak? I had a similar issue that took weeks to track down. It ended up being a bad regulator that wasn't sealing correctly.
