Thanks for all of the compliments. It’s coming along. I’m trying to at least get it sealed up before the winter weather comes. Once it’s sealed, I can work on the interior.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FLATBED Camper Build...All Aluminum, Summer 2022

So, I've been wanting to build a flatbed camper for quite sometime now, but I wanted to wait until I retired as I knew it'd be very time consuming. I retired at the end of June (2022) and a couple of days later, I got to work. I had already ordered most of the materials i.e. aluminum, door...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RAM 2500, 6.7, Hawk Flatbed Camper

Did you have to beef up your rear receiver hitch in order to carry the MC? It looks like you may have had to add a receiver hitch extension and that'll put more weight on it. Curious as I'm looking to do something very similar.

For those of you I've camped/explored with in the past, you all know that I never went anywhere without my big, sweet, hairy Yellow Lab, Dexter. I lost him August 29th and I wanted to post this memorial of him to all of my friends on WTW. Here's the link on my blog: Dexter's Memorial

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Looking at a "new" truck, opinions wanted

You're not considering the Dodge Ram? I just picked up a Ram 2004 5.9L Cummins diesel with only 133k miles on it and it's gorgeous and runs like a top AND, it gets better mileage than my Tacoma. It took a few months of consistent looking, but it finally popped up. I'm planning a flatbed...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Facebook Post Alleging XP Campers, LLC has closed

I also wonder if the fact that XP was in California contributed to the company's demise? I have friends who have businesses in CA and they all have horror stories about its regulations, restrictions, high taxes, etc.

I just picked up a really nice metal detector at Costco and I was wondering if anyone uses these while out "wandering the west?" It seems like it would a fun thing to do while out and about, especially near old mine sites and ghost towns. I know there are a lot of rules/laws regarding metal...
