RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camping with a Cat

What a cool cat. We had a cat that liked traveling. He would also take walks up to 1 mile without a leash. He loved exploring, but he got fatigued after about 1/2 mile and could hardly make it back. Wish we had a camping cat now. Our kitties are homebodies.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Diamond in the Rough - Alaskan 8' cabover

I forgot to mention, I also used a small flat artist brush to cut in the edges. Turned out great.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Furnace Maintenance

I had similar issues. Furnace burner wouldn't kick in unless the battery was fully charged. I found the sail switch arm was rubbing against the cover. I bent the little wire arm and it works great now. It must have gotten bent from vibration going down the road. Be sure your batteries are...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Diamond in the Rough - Alaskan 8' cabover

I repainted the stripes on the side, which were peeling. Changed to earth tone colors to quiet it down a bit. The camper doesn't need much work. Just a few fix-it projects.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Diamond in the Rough - Alaskan 8' cabover

Here are some pics of our old camper. We took it up some great roads in the Cascades & never paid for campground fees. The only problem... it didn't have a furnace. We froze a couple trips up around 7,000 feet in the fall. This "new" camper has furnace and the wife likes it.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Diamond in the Rough - Alaskan 8' cabover

Well, this is our second Alaskan, and first post on WTW. The first was an old 1965 10' C/O which we loved until our kids got too big. Now they are grown and running loose. We looked for another Alaskan for over a year and finally found an 8' cabover front dinette at a decent price. We're...
