RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Programmable 35f thermostat

I'm aware of the Honeywell 35f garage thermostat, but I would have to get out of bed to turn it up. I'd like a programmable, 35 degree minimum thermostat. Thanks for your help. Bill

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Attaching things to the roof (or back!) of a Hawk

I'd be very careful about not having a metal part of the stroller touching the roof, the vibration could rub a hole in your roof.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Where To Mount MPPT Charge Controller

I mounted my Renogy Rover 20 behind and above the couch so I can see it. It's only about a 2' long run to the battery box. I had to do a bit of metal trimming so when the couch is made into a bed it wouldn't pinch wires. It seems pretty good.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water Explosion

I pressurized the water system in my 05 Grandby and quickly had water shooting out from a cabinet. It turns out there's a little silver ring that is a compression fitting that failed so a joint on at elbow separated. Any ideas on what that ring is called and where I might find one? The nearest...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Yikes...snows coming and now I've got a hole in my roof

Thank you Craig for your help. The wires were really bound between the roof and the insulation. The keys for me getting them loose was to first remove the nearest roof anchor screw, then I slide a flat edge screw driver into the hole roof side and pried up on the roof as hard as I dared putting...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Yikes...snows coming and now I've got a hole in my roof

The Four Wheel factory provided spot on measurements on where to drill through the roof on my 2007 Grandby to find the prewired red and black wires for my solar install. I opened up about a square inch hole and tried to pull the wires up figuring the wire going toward the back of the camper is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I am now the proud papa of a new-to-me 2007 Grandby, but:

Hi guys, I appreciate your ideas. After rereading my post it does read I was planning to mount the solar panel directly to the roof, but I am thinking Z brackets so.. are are the roof bolts and center seam prone to leaks and needing periodic resealing? Thanks, Six5

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West I am now the proud papa of a new-to-me 2007 Grandby, but:

I’d like to install a Camco Wave 3 catalytic heater for seasonal use meaning I want to remove it 8 months of the year. I called Camco and they do not make a quick disconnect fitting with a shut off valve that I would put onto a T in an existing gas line. Has anybody done this? My plan was to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West About cutting down a grandby to fit my 2005 crew cab tundra.....

I need to cut down to 48" between the wheel wells, about 57" for the tail gate width and add about 4" in height to clear the cab. Could I cut down the floor just on the roll over bed side to eliminate dealing with all the mechanical side? If the camper is 4ish inches wider on the passenger side...
