So it looks like the vent on my 2001 eagle is much smaller that a fantastic fan coming in closer to 9" than 14". Does anyone know if the 2001 eagle roof framing is spaced enough to receive a fantastic? I measure really close to 14" and it seems, just by feeling around, that there are horizontal braces in the section with my vent, are these welded in? Is my best approach to just take the existing vent out and patch the roof at that location and pluck a new hole for my fantastic fan? The headliner needs to be replaced anyways so that isn't a huge deal.

On my 2000 Eagle the new Fantastic fan just slid right in. But I have never seen a brace like that.
