2020 All Terrain Ocelot Shell Build

This build is a result of gleaning this site and other resources. My philosophy is "keep it simple and light" so "cabinetry" is just that, simple 1/2" plywood shelves sitting either on the campers wheel well ledges or cleats attached to the wall.

This was a pretty much standard All Terrain shell. The only extra was the furnace cabinet that I later modified, adding a drawer and rearranging the electricals.

Nice. The stowed cassette toilet is slick. How do you keep stuff from falling off the shelves/cubbies? Are those hooks on the panels the kind with the suction cup?

I don't know how clear it is shown but there is a piece of 3/16"x2 1/2" facing on the bottom of the shelves. Since most of our stuff is in plastic bins (most of them are now in the house waiting to be stocked for the next trip) the lip created by that facing holds stuff in place. There have been a couple of times after very rough roads where an item or two ends up on the floor but it is rare. We don't carry anything that is very fragile so we get away with it.

The hooks are sticky backed. The larger ones are used for ski coats and pants and have held well. Believe it or not I just ordered a few more from amazon. They come in a couple of sizes. I like the larger size.

hey there. much thx for the pics, and reasoning. i too have an ocelot, and mocked up the plywood sidewall profile in my basement, and am trying to come up with a buildout. u have given me some ideas.
i am going to put a propex propane heater in, for its smaller size
i am going to put my dometic 75L fridge/freezer along back wall.it fills that space well, and helps put weight toward middle of truck.
i am planning on using 80/20 alum extrusion for my shelving framing, and it will give me flexibility in shelving heights.
i like your hooks . there is a new local camper who installs rivnuts all over inside of camper, so you can easily screw things to them, and dont have to waste time looking for alum frame locations.

what is the name of your dinette seats??

The only thing we don't like about the chairs is they seem to be a magnet for lint/dirt/other stuff and it is not easy to get that stuff off.

It really doesn't bother us, we are campers and not fussy about how clean we are or how clean the chairs are. The flip side of the not being able to get stuff off is just that, the "stuff" doesn't seem to come off the chairs onto us.

Otherwise we think these chairs are great. Comfortable, light weight, easily moved around and rotate, they can go outside onto a picnic table if you like and they lay flat if we want to tuck them away for travel. Generally we just leave them on the benches and they have yet to fall off while in transit.

We have similar chairs in our Puma, lighter brown color and the slip covers come off if they get too dirty.
