Hello there,

Very interested in your set up and sorry to hear about your health challenges. Where are you located?

I’m always a little concerned with Tacomas and slide ins with regard to GVWR. Yours is relatively light I know but do you know what yours weighs?

I’ll probably have more questions to follow.

Cheers and thanks
Joe

Hi Joe,

I am located in Duluth, MN.

The Fleet as I had it built weighs 1,052 lbs dry (including the dual propane tanks and dual batteries). The stock payload on the truck is 1,150 lbs. I worked with my FWC rep and Boise Springs, and had an additional 1,500 lbs of carrying capacity from the heavy duty springs I added to the rear of the truck. It handles great (I just did a 4,250 mile east coast/fall color trip for a month).. I did not want airbags, for they always seem to leak eventually.

Thanks for the well health wishes. I am doing good, but the side effects of the radiation I had have resulted in off road traveling becoming pretty unenjoyable.

Eric

I should add I just took the camper off the truck yesterday. I don’t drive the truck in the winter, so it is now in storage. Both are in my garage, the camper has the top popped, so it won’t sit all folded up, and the batteries are on a battery tenders.

There is no rush no pressure, it can stay there for the next 4 months.

Thanks Eric, thanks for the update and it’s clear that you care and have taken great care with your set up. We’re just on the tail end of a 3 week trip to Mexico and need to sort out some things before we can make a purchase. We have a Tundra and a converted Transit. That being said we’re pretty keen on your set up. Let us get home and sort out some things. My mobile is (509) 341-9125

Eric, when convenient, would you mind sharing some pics of the interior of the truck? Also is the undercarriage clean and rust free? I assume since it’s not driven in winter and the excellent condition of the camper and exterior. Thanks
