80 Year Old Snowblower

Wow, a fully operational Marmon-Herrington! M-H was, along with FWD, a leader in 4-wheel drive technology through the 1930s into the 1940s. They manufactured their own chassis and bodies as shown here and they provided modification kits to convert other manufacturers' trucks to 4-wheel drive, notably Fords. By the 1950s, Chevy/GMC had adopted Napco conversions for half-ton to 1-ton light trucks but I believe Ford stayed with M-H until the early 1960s. By then, both GM and Ford went fully in-house with their 4-wheel drive trucks. Dodge had taken their 4-wheel drive manufacturing in-house with their production of command cars and weapons carrier vehicles during WW II and they expanded into civilian production with Power Wagons and the Suburban-like vehicles after the war. What a cool old truck the gentleman from Idaho has!
