I have a 1996 FWC Ranger in good shape that I am looking to trade for a smaller rig. I had an '02 Tacoma with the 4cyl and the ranger was just too much for the camper. I burned a couple pair of breaks and bent the leaf springs even with airbags. I think the main problem was how far back the camper extends beyond the rear axle.
my truck was stolen and I have replacement value cash to get a new one. As I am looking for larger trucks like a Tacoma, I am pretty dismayed by the poor gas mileage. It will be my primary vehicle and I commute to a farm that is 20 miles away.
Long story short, I am looking to downsize the camper to put back on a Tacoma sized truck. I would be willing to chip in some money to upgrade years as well, if someone wants the larger ranger camper.
