I'd like to start by saying THANK YOU!!! This community is amazing. I cannot even imagine how many hours my husband and I have spent here researching. In April we purchased a 2001 7.3L Turbo Diesel F250 and ordered a new Hawk shell. It was officially installed at the end of June and we've been like giddy little kids ever since. After the install at Rocky Mountain Four Wheel Camper in Denver we drove back home to the mountains, grabbed our two dogs and some food and headed our for a quick one night getaway about 15 minutes from our house. The entire rig performed flawlessly and we're anxious for all the adventures that lie ahead. We mainly purchased the FWC because our business allows us the opportunity to take off for one-two months over the winter. For now, we're squeezing in all the over-nighters that we can! More photos and a longer story behind our purchase is on our website: http://www.inphotogr...ntures-begin/My link

If anyone could offer some advice on how to get the photos to post larger, I would really appreciate it!

Welcome to WTW, meech, and thanks for sharing your new-rig excitement -- with very nice photos! :)

I sent you a PM about posting photos...trying to help.

Congratulations and welcome! We've had our Hawk since April 2011 and have already spent ~60 nights in it, we absolutely love it and I guarantee you're going to love yours too. Happy camping!

Very Nice! I notice that the dogs seem to like it too! May I ask how you travel with them and where they stay when you are camped?

Thanks

Welcome to the gang! Looks like you've got some excellent terrain to explore and a great combo to enjoy it. Looking forward to more photography from you, and maybe a few stories too. :)

Thanks everyone!

Ramblinman-
So far it seems to be working quite nicely to keep our dogs in the cab until it's time for bed. This leaves us room in the camper to cook, move around, etc. Then after we set up our bed we convert the dinette to a bed, put dog beds on top and bring the dogs in from the cab. Since we live in the Rockies the nights are cool enough that we've run the heat already but if we we're camping in a warmer climate we'd probably just leave the dogs in the cab. They seem to like it there.
