A Really Cool Step Idea (I've never seen these before...)

I apologize in advance if these steps appear in another area, but I had never seen them before and I think they'd be a great way to access your roof and access you windows for those of us who have exterior storm flaps.

I have spent the last 20 minutes looking though my file of pictures "stolen" off the Internet. I can't find it, but someone posted a simple step made from a 2x2x20 inch block of wood with holes drilled in each end. Then simple rope is knotted, threaded through the hole, passed behind the tire, threaded through the second hole, and knotted on the other side. I haven't tried it, but I sure would before I bought something else.

I am buying an Otto Step for my rear hitch. I will post how that turns out once I get the camper.
 
I like the wooden 2x4 step idea. Packs small, plus multiple uses (Chock a wheel, firewood, club, tongue jack base, regular jack brace, etc....).
Plus cheap, and about as simple a project to make as you will find.
