Accrete's AWD-Van Light Overland Vehicle

Very nice Thom. I'm very seriously looking at a van for my next adventure vehicle...The Froli System is a no brainer after sleeping on one in my last camper, they are the best for damp clims...
THX Mike. on the Froli and XPC..i was happy to see it included in the design. And yes on the airflow factor. Sure helps in the wet environ of the PNW.

Another _season_ has come to a close for us. We typically chill during December through February. A bit to cold and wet for our taste in the places we frequent.

This last season was a bit different for us in that we only took out our 15ft fiberglass trailer twice! Once during the month of may when weather was calling for rain, and another when our two adult kids visited us campside so they would have a back up place to sleep if hammocks-in-trees didn't work out. As it turns out the weather was great and they slept under the bug nets gazing at stars and enjoyed it. So the little trailer saw little use.

When fall 2015 came along we looked back at the three years of camping with the trailer behind the van and realized it had put a damper on our style of adventuring. We really like to be spontaneous and head up trails in the van as the mood strikes us but leaving a nice rig down at some camp alone didn't make much sense to us. So I put out a feeler to see if there was interest in the Parkliner and it sold by the second day for what we paid for it new three years prior.

So... we are now in process of having Aluminess build front/rear bumpers with swing out galley box and jerry can box (like this setup). The reasoning is we can have a galley box on the curb side that will swing toward camp and eliminate some fussing about getting camp set.

We had toyed with the idea of towing a small off-road teardrop behind the van, but currently think the galley-box will be a better fit.

Happy New Year!
Thom
