That canopy must have been built of Lego's. The fiberglass front of the camper wasn't even caved in before it toppled. Looks like it was just waiting to fall in a bad wind.
I wouldn't want the insurance headache that guy is going to have. But the more I watch that video the more I'm convinced that building wasn't safe. That heavy roof was just sitting on some bricks piers. Nothing was properly tied together. Wouldn't meet any modern building code I've had to deal with. I'll bet there will be lawsuits all over every direction on this one. Tearing up the camper and the end of the cantilevered roof is one thing. But that should have never fallen like that.
Glad they got out of the truck fine and that no one was in the drive thru when it happened.
