I watched an old western this morning "Cave of Outlaws" and it got me interested in the filming locations. Among those were these areas. Just wondering of those are worth putting on my list of places to see.
We drive by Agua Dulce almost every trip. What can be seen from the fwy is pretty spectacular. I drove down thru Agua Dulce proper once, but I was looking for a particular address and must have missed the park entrance. going back to see it keeps getting put off. http://parks.lacounty.gov/vasquez-rocks-natural-area-and-nature-center/
I had family who lived not that far from there. That was something like 20 to 25 years ago. I was a mere guest, which meant that I was led about. From what I recall it was an unusual formation that made for a nice small diversion. I don't remember it being all that large of an area; that said, being we were of a mixed group, extensive exploration was not going to be part of the experience.
