I have been trying to find a good source for new cushions for my 8' NCO. I have removed some cabinets and need bigger cushions. The prices I'm finding are scary. If anyone has any insight please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't know if it's cheaper than what you're looking at, but I bought a memory foam mattress and some pretty nice heavy duty closeout fabric both from Walmart. It was easy to sew the corners, but I didn't do any fancy piping. the fabric just gets stapled to the plywood flaps, so that part is really easy.

Yeah I posted this previously in the other area: http://www.thefoamfactory.com/ Buying the mattress sized stuff is cheapest but they also do whatever size you want. I used the LUX stuff for the additional pieces I needed for my mattress when I extended the bed in my Hawk. Free shipping over $75 and the product seems good, kicks the crap outta anything else I saw price wise. 4" LUX is quite firm FYI.

goodwill is a decent place to get lucky as are garage sales. i found all my new foam at these two.not reliable ,but i was in the right place at the right time. for material, we used a set of drapes from good will. new condition, lined and cheap---29 bucks with material left over.thre were lots of color choices as people do a lot of decor changes.we didn't sew, just fold over backboard and staple.they are holding up nicely after 2 years of camping.if the right place and time arn't available, foam is expensive and maybe cheap price on materials would offset costs.

Thanks. I ended up getting lucky yesterday. My wife and I were in a furniture store in our area and ended up buying two couches for our living room. Got into a conversation with the owner and mentioned the Alaskan project. He offered up all the foam I will need free of charge. Well actually now I think about it, it cost me $1,600 in couches but by God the foam for the camper will be free. It's good stuff too. Just need to find the material and will be good to go. Thanks for the responses.
