Awning and a fridge vent

I have a question. I am looking at installing an awning (probably the Quick Pitch) along the side of the camper, up at the top. I’d like to put it on the right side (away from traffic) but up near the top there is a vent and fan for the fridge. I am planning on offsetting the awning away from the camper with aluminum brackets. Do you think a couple of inches is enough to let the fan do its thing? How hot does that get? Thanks for the help!!
