For going out to see the whales the two main companies I hear about are Pachico's and Kuyima. I believe both offer camping areas, restrooms, showers, and have small restaurants. Any recommendations for either or for another outfitter down there?

Pachico's without a doubt. Pachico was the original fisherman who the whales first came up to and it is to Pachico (RIP) that we all owe this wonderful experience to. His family will always get my business.
Besides being genuinely wonderful people, Jesus "Rana" Mayoral (Pachico's son) and his wife Sabrina will take good care of you and share valuable history with you on their tour. Rana seems to have a special connection with some of the whales.

And me makes three for Pachico's... Wonderful people and experience two times I have gone with them... Good camping as well!
