I'm finally getting around to completing the walk through of my Bobcat build. Life gets busy.
Here is the counter. It is 1/2" baltic birch core with plastic laminate top and edge. I found some light color laminate at Home Depot. I wanted to keep the interior from getting too dark.
It is narrow, only 16" wide, as are the cabinets beneath. We like the narrow run of cabinets for the room it gives us in the aisle. My wife and I can pass one another with only a little shimmy-shake dance move.
The side dinette has the same laminate and core. We use the Picnic Time Ventura seats on top of the side storage boxes. And we really like the Lagun table mount. It gives us two table positions while seated, as well as many options to swing the table out of the way to access storage.
The storage boxes that are under the side dinette seats have a fabric panel on the front for access. The panel is on a beveled frame.
Inside are 32 mm system shelf holes and pins to support shelves.
I use a roller catch to keep the panel closed. It catches on the inside edge of the boxes beveled frame.
The lid for the storage box just has some cleats to keep it in place, but no hinges. So far it stays in place while traveling. I haven't done any rough off roads yet.
The porta potti has a hinged lid and a curtain surround.
A thumb latch keeps the lid down and everything in place.
